WELD REPAIR RATE

Welder performance shall be controlled and monitored on a day-to-day basis based on the NDT reports, either by using an Excel sheet or welding software. Based on the individual performance rate, the overall weld repair percentage for the project shall be calculated on a weekly and monthly basis and submitted to PCR top management/client.

In general, the overall weld repair rate for the project shall be as follows (to include weld repair rate as per client recommendations):

1. For piping – < 0.5% (length wise)
2. For structure – < 1.0% (length wise)

If any specific project requirement to calculate the weld repair percentage is based on joint or film or by any other method, it shall be resolved with the client prior to starting the production welding.
