Pipe spool shall be stored at elevated ground level and supported by wooden skid. All pipe spool ends shall be covered with pipe caps/polyethylene, etc., to protect the ingress of foreign materials.

SS/DSS pipe spools shall be stored in the segregated area, where they will not come into contact with foreign materials. They shall be stored off the ground on a nail-free wooden skid. If required, CS/SS pipe spools shall be covered with tarpaulin for long-term storage.

All flange faces shall be protected with wooden blanks. The material controller/QC inspector shall periodically check the storage area.
