ISO/TS 29001 – Oil & Gas Sector Quality Management
This international standard is specifically meant for oil- and gas-related organizations, projects and service providers. It is an advanced version of the ISO 9001 standard with additional features and requirements imposed by taking into account the unique needs of oil and gas projects. Implementing this standard helps ensure that all the client’s requirements are properly met.
Key Requirements (in addition to ISO 9001)
- All the project-related and/or business-related documents must be maintained for a minimum period of five years to ensure identification and traceability.
- Once the project is completed, post-delivery services (defect liability period), warranty and guarantee-related items become the responsibility of the product/service provider to the client.
- Once the product/service is delivered and/or the project is completed, post-delivery performance of the project/product/service must be monitored.
- If project-related works are subcontracted by the main contractor, then the responsibility and accountability of the subcontracted works shall remain with the main contractor.
