Identification and Traceability – DOs and DON’Ts

DOs DON’Ts
Prepare the list of materials that require identification and traceability before receiving the materials. Don’t issue/release any materials without proper identification and tagging.
Prepare the list of critical incoming materials required for the project. Don’t release materials which are “ON HOLD” or “REJECTED” for further processing without prior approval from the QC department.
Establish the type of marking, tagging and color coding for identification and traceability. Don’t forget to update the material register on issues related to identification and traceability.
