STORAGE AND HANDLING

a) Storage and Handling of Materials Procured by PCR

All project-related permanent materials and consumables, like welding electrodes, paints, etc., shall be stored separately and in accordance with client/manufacturer’s recommendations.

b) Storage and Handling of Client-Supplied Material

All client-supplied materials shall be segregated, identified and stored properly in a secured area.

Storage and Handling Activity – DOs and DON’Ts

DOs	DON’Ts
All piping materials shall be stored at elevated level (not touching the ground).	Don’t store the pipes and fitting materials directly on the ground.
Check for the end covers on the pipes.	Don’t mix CS, LTCS, SS and DSS materials during storage.
Check for the protection of flange faces.	Don’t store materials, like valves, flanges, bolts, studs, etc., in open storage areas.
Check for the end covers of valves.
Ensure the stainless steel materials are stored separately and protected properly.
Ensure the GRE materials are stored strictly as per vendor recommendation.
