Inspection of Welded Components

Inspection shall be carried out after a welded component is completed:

1. Weld size and reinforcement
2. Completeness of all welds
3. Appearance of welds
4. Geometrical and surface defects on welds
5. Identification of welds and welder numbers
6. Distortion of components
7. Arc strikes on parent metal
8. Dimension check
9. Straightness check
10. NDE inspection

Records to be Produced

1. Fit-up report
2. NDE report
3. Weld visual report
4. Lamination report
5. Dimensional report
