REINSTATEMENT
- Flushing and hydrostatic testing have been satisfactorily completed and recorded. Check that drying of lines is complete. Verify that all in-line units have been reinstated as per the latest P&ID.
- Ensure correct bolts and gaskets are installed at all mechanical joints, and bolts are torqued/tensioned to correct specification.
- Check all manual valves are in open position (recommended) and smoothly turned.
- Ensure all temporary spades, bobbins, vents and drains have been removed and openings closed according to specifications.
- Ensure support gauges are removed where applicable (leaving some in place for removal offshore may be required).
- Ensure all process blinds, spades, valves and in-line equipment have been correctly installed as per P&ID.
- Check/ensure that lines are resting firmly/properly on their supports (not floating).
- Check that extended spindles and chain wheels for specified valves have been correctly installed.
- Check that all locking devices and interlocks for specified valves have been correctly installed.
- Ensure piping, instruments, mechanical equipment and specialty items are reinstated in accordance with the P&ID. Verify the items against pre-test list.
- Verify earthing strap/connection, if required.
- Verify the baseline survey for corrosion management is completed.
