REINSTATEMENT

  1. Flushing and hydrostatic testing have been satisfactorily completed and recorded. Check that drying of lines is complete. Verify that all in-line units have been reinstated as per the latest P&ID.
  2. Ensure correct bolts and gaskets are installed at all mechanical joints, and bolts are torqued/tensioned to correct specification.
  3. Check all manual valves are in open position (recommended) and smoothly turned.
  4. Ensure all temporary spades, bobbins, vents and drains have been removed and openings closed according to specifications.
  5. Ensure support gauges are removed where applicable (leaving some in place for removal offshore may be required).
  6. Ensure all process blinds, spades, valves and in-line equipment have been correctly installed as per P&ID.
  7. Check/ensure that lines are resting firmly/properly on their supports (not floating).
  8. Check that extended spindles and chain wheels for specified valves have been correctly installed.
  9. Check that all locking devices and interlocks for specified valves have been correctly installed.
  10. Ensure piping, instruments, mechanical equipment and specialty items are reinstated in accordance with the P&ID. Verify the items against pre-test list.
  11. Verify earthing strap/connection, if required.
  12. Verify the baseline survey for corrosion management is completed.
